Satellite TV HD Channels Down on Dish Network; Their Satellite #129 Having Trouble on Sept. 13 2011

A Dish Network customers worldwide are reporting having total signal loss on may of their HD channels. DISH Network is reporting trouble on their 129 orbital satellite location.

We are currently experiencing an interruption affecting the 129 orbital satellite location. We have identified the issue and are working as quickly as possible to get your channels restored. We apologize for the inconvenience.

According to help on EVDOinfo.com, if you currently hide standard definition channels, press menu, then 8, then 1 and uncheck the “HD only” box to see the working SD channels.

How do I get my HD channels back?
Reports were coming in Tuesday night that Dish Network switched HD channels to sat. 119. Users might have some trouble with resetting their favorites and other settings, but at least the HD channels are report back for some. As of 8:15 p.m. CDT, DISH Network has not mentioned this solution on their Facebook wall.

Users complained today that very little information was available on Dish Network’s Twitter and Facebook pages.

Website Slow to Load!
Dish Network’s website is slow to respond, if loading at all, Tuesday night.
