An Arlington Heights resident, as a potential victim to a scam, received a voice mail message from a subject who identified himself as Mike Thomas. The caller demanded she repay a payday advance loan of $711 by credit card over the phone. The original loan amount was $300. She called the original loan company and determined the call she received was part of a recent scam. The unknown fake company is making calls attempting to get customers to make credit card payments over the phone. She did return the call and another subject asked for the amount of $711.
