Operation Summer Snow: 18 Arrested for Dealing Drugs at Three Aurora Taverns

Twelve people were arrested Sunday, accused of selling cocaine, cannabis and ecstasy to undercover investigators at the End Zone Bar, Joe’s Cantina and Club Gala bringing a total of 18 suspects indicted by a Kane County grand Jury last week, but six of those charged are still at large. Eleven of the twelve arrested at the three bars were Aurora residents, and the other resides in Joliet.


Operation Summer Snow
Police began an investigation when residents complained about illegal drug sales in six bars in Aurora. Undercover police were only approached by drug dealers in six of the bars.

Aurora Police were assisted by the Illinois State Police, federal authorities and the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office.

The six suspects at-large are Aurora residents:
Rosario Hernandez, 36, of the 800 block of Gates St.
Jose Romero-Maravilla, 27, of the 600 block of S. River St.
Roberto Dieppa, 25, of the 200 block of Prairie St.
Arturo Rios, 25, of the 600 block of Forest Ave.
Tiburcio Becerra, 36, of the 300 block of N. Union St
Victor Garcia, 35, of the 1200 block of Fifth Ave.

Citizens with information about the whereabouts of the suspects are urged to call Aurora Police Special Operations Investigators at (630) 256-5600. Tipsters can also call Aurora Area Crime Stoppers anonymously at (630) 892-1000 and qualify for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to arrests.
