Window of House Shattered by Occupants of Jeep Wrangler Passing By on S. Ridge Drive

Arlington Heights police received a report about 11:25 p.m. Thursday of a criminal damage to property in the 1700 block of South Ridge Drive. Police received a report that occupants of a Jeep style vehicle driving by, either shot a pellet gun or threw something at a house that shattered a window. The vehicle was described as a Jeep Wrangler with the top removed. Police assigned several units to the area.

While police were in the area, a dark blue Jeep Wrangler passed the house again, last seen heading north on Ridge Drive. An alert police officer spotted the Jeep Wrangler and stopped the vehicle at Fernandez Avenue and Noyes Street.

Two occupants of the Jeep were arrested related to the criminal damage to property. The driver’s Jeep Wrangler was towed to a police holding area.


Police also received a report about 9:15 a.m. Friday that a window was shattered by a pellet gun in the 1800 block of South Fernandez Avenue.
