Arlington Heights police and Long Grove Fire Protection District firefighter/paramedics responded about about 7:35 p.m. Saturday to a report of a one-car rollover crash near Nichols Road and Spring Ridge. The crashed vehicle was also reported near Nichols and Newport.

The driver of the vehicle got out on his own and walked toward Bloomington Avenue. Police and firefighters searched for the man until after 8:00 a.m. Saturday, but were unable to find him. One witness reported the man appeared intoxicated. The driver was described as wearing a light blue T-shirt and gray shorts.

Prospect Heights rescue squad, Buffalo Grove truck company and Palatine engine company firefighter/paramedics initially responded for a pin-in response, which is normal for rollover crashes in that area.

Cook County Sheriff’s police deputies also responded to the scene.
