#ad▼

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS police have issued a LOTTERY SCAM ALERT ...
Several Arlington Heights residents have been receiving telephone calls from subjects claiming they had won a lottery or prizes. Those making the calls are trying to get bank/personal information or attempting to get the victim to wire funds before the prizes can be processed. MOST of the people realize the calls are part of a scam. Some do fall prey to these professional criminals.

If you play along, knowing someone is trying to scam you, they will call back. Make sure there is no doubt they know you are aware of their attempted scam and let them know you are reporting the incident to local and state authorities. They may not be so quick to call you a second time.
