BULL REPORTED ESCAPED FROM FARM NEAR HIGGINS AND BARTLETT ROAD
Cook County Sheriff police about 8:30 a.m. Saturday alerted area police departments, especially those police officers in the area of South Barrington, near The Arboretum shopping center and north of Poplar Creek Forest Preserve that a young bull was reported escaped from a farm at 203 Bartlett Road. As of 5:40 p.m. Saturday administrative personnel reached at the South Barrington police non-ermegency telephone number were not aware that the bull was found.

There is a lot of open land in the area of the farm. Poplar Creek Forest Preserve, located just south of the farm is a large, desolate area, especially considering it is so close to the northwest suburbs.

Plenty of open land with Poplar Creek Forest Preserve to the south, Spring Creek Valley Forest Preserve and Barrington Hills to the northwest, and Crabtree Nature Center to the northeast.
