Man Fakes that He Works for Locally-Known Roofing Company, Cashes Check Written from South Prindle Resident

Arlington Heights police received a report about 4:30 p.m. Friday of fraudulent activity in the 400 block of South Prindle Avenue. Police received a report that a woman wrote a check to a man earlier in the afternoon representing a locally-known roofing company. When she checked with the roofing company, she discovered that the man was not from the roofing company. The woman then checked with her bank, and the man had already cashed the check.

The subject was described as a male/white. Arlington Heights police are investigating.
