Eric Friedle Killed in Motorcycle Crash After Swerving to Avoid Animal in Gurnee, Illinois

Gurnee police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:05 a.m. at Rollins Road and Scarborough Drive, Gurnee. Friends of the victim are reported to have witnessed Eric Friedle swerve to avoid hitting an animal in the roadway, strike a curb, lose control of his motorcycle and crash into a tree. Friedle of Antioch was pronounced dead at 2:59 a.m. Thursday at Level I Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.


The witnesses were riding in a car next to Eric Friedle when the crash occurred. No other injuries were reported. No evidence of alcohol or drugs was reported at the scene.
