Arlington Heights police received a report about 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2011 of a burglary to residence in the 2600 block of North Waterman. Police received a report that 0.5-carat Marquis-cut diamond solitaire ring, red velvet box containing at least three ivory-colored necklaces of equal-sized pearls and a pearl ring set was taken from a residence. The crime is reported to have occurred between 5:30 p.m. May 20 and 6:20 p.m. May 24. The burglars apparently used a patio storage box to gain access to a lower flat garage roof at the residence.
