Male Youth Arrested After Threat, Abusive Behavior at Shelter, Inc.

Arlington Heights police responded about 11:30 PM Sunday to a report of a threat at Shelter, Inc. in the 400 block of West Golf Road. Police received a report that a male staying at a Shelter, Inc. on the south side of Arlington Heights was confronted after suspected drug use, and became threatening and abusive.

Police arrived within minutes and arrested one male, and transported him to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters.

Shelter, Inc. provides emergency housing for boys and girls ages 11 through 17. According the the Shelter, Inc. website, group homes provide a cooling-off period for families who are experiencing parent-child conflicts, adolescents running away from home or a family crisis such as; eviction, divorce, unemployment, parental or guardian hospitalization and domestic violence.
