Snowfall and Snow Depth Totals for Chicago Area Following Ground Hog Day Blizzard 2011


SNOW-STUNNED: Stranded motorists, firefighters on snowmobiles, and an urban coyote walking the streets of Chicago during the blizzard.

Record breaking snow is reported at 13.6 inches at Chicago O’Hare International Airport for the calendar date February 1, which was previously set at 4.0 inches on February 1, 1967. The record also tops any calendar date record for the entire month of February, which was previously 11.5 inches, which occurred on February 18, 1908.
