Smashed Windshield and Rear Window on Dodge Ram — Latest in String of Criminal Vehicle Damage on South Cleveland Ave


Arlington Heights police received a report about 4:10 a.m. Sunday February 13 of a burglary/criminal damage to property in the 700 block of South Cleveland Avenue. An unknown offender or offenders threw part of a cinder block through the rear window and into the front windshield of a 1997 Dodge Ram. A vehicle alarm alerted the vehicle owner of the incident. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.

The crime is reported to have occurred just before 4:10 a.m. Sunday.

The criminal damage to the vehicle marks the latest of a string of damage in the neighborhood– some possibly to the same vehicles.

On February 9, 2011 a Ford Edge was damaged with windows broken with softball-sized holes in the 700 block of South Cleveland Avenue.

On December 24, 2010 screw driver was found stuck in a car in the 700 block of South Cleveland Avenue.

On Wednesday December 15, 2010 about 6:45 a.m. two vehicles were found with tires slashed.

On Thursday December 2, 2010 about 6:00 a.m. a Dodge Ram was reported burglarized.
