Rescue: Personal Injury Crash with Victim Report Pinned In Vehicle, Wolf Rd and Strong, Wheeling

Wheeling police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:20 PM Wednesday to an auto accident with injuries at the intersection of Wolf Road and Strong. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a female was unconscious in one of the vehicles. Police and firefighter/paramedics arrived to find a Buick Park Avenue and a Ford Escape with extensive damage.

Firefighter/paramedics extricated one victim within minutes.


One patient was transported to a hospital with advanced life support. Two patients were transported with basic life support.

Northbrook rescue ambulance assisted Wheeling firefighter/paramedics and responded to the accident scene, but was diverted to a medical call elsewhere in Wheeling.
