Driver of Car Stuck in Snow Bank Destroys Tire at Miner and Ridge

Arlington Heights police and firefighters responded about 11:10 AM Monday to a report of a car fire at the intersection of Miner and Ridge. Police and a fire administration official were at the scene first and reported no fire. A female driver crashed into a snow bank and burned the rubber off of a wheel while trying to get out of the snow bank. About one-half of the tire was found in an adjacent snow bank.
