3 Hurt in Crash Involving a Funeral Procession at Palatine and Schoenbeck

VIDEO: Rescue operations at Palatine Road and Schoenbeck Road late Wednesday morning.

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:15 am Wednesday to a crash involving a funeral procession at Palatine Road and Schoenbeck.

At least three injured victims were reported. Arlington Heights Fire Department sent two rescue ambulances and Buffalo Grove Fire Department sent one rescue ambulance to the scene. Two victims required minor extrication/rescue from a small sedan. It is unknown if the third victim was from the small sedan or the other crash vehicle, which was an SUV.

The sedan — a silver vehicle — was the vehicle participating in the funeral procession.

At least three victims were transported to Northwest Community Hospital.

Prospect Heights police managed traffic at the accident scene.
