Miles Martin Named As Victim Who Suffered Medical Emergency in Fatal Crash on Walnut Ave

Arlington Heights police begin a prolonged accident investigation in the 1000 block of South Walnut Avenue Wednesday night.

Myles Martin, 78, died of a heart condition and multiple injuries sustained in a crash with a tree Wednesday at 4:09 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The crash occurred in the 1100 block of South Walnut Avenue — beggining with at least one mail box hit near Central Road. The crash vehicle traveled on the west shoulder of Walnut Avenue, and then collided with a tree on the east side of Walnut Avenue — about one block south of the damaged mail box.

Police are urging citizens with any information about the crash to call police at 847-368-5300.
