Arlington Heights Fire Department Helps Out at ‘Celebrate Reading’ Night at Windsor School

#ad▼

Terry Valentino, Arlington Heights Fire Department Training Division Commander, read The Fire Station
as the guest reader to a group of about 25 first and second graders at Windsor School, 1315 East Miner Street in Arlington Heights.

After reading, Valentino explained details of firefighting and distress calls, including radio usage and operations, and helped one of the Windsor School dad’s gear up in full firefighter gear, minus the self-contained breathing apparatus.

Each student read his or her own book prior to the reading by Terry Valentino.
The reading program held at Windsor School is known as ‘Celebrate Reading’.
