Police Activity at Walgreens: Man with a Gun Report Actually Criminal Trespass — No Gun

#ad▼

Arlington Heights police responded about 1:50 PM Saturday to a report of a man with a gun at the Walgreens at 3 East Golf Road. Police received a report that a man had a gun inside the store. He was reported as a male/Hispanic with dark hair and a dark trench coat.

He apparently had been at the store yesterday causing a disturbance while carrying a bottle of tequila. Police were updated that the offender was in the back of the store at the Take Care Clinic.

Police set up a perimeter and had the suspect in custody at about 1:00 p.m.

No gun was found and police changed the case from a ‘man with a gun’ case to a ‘criminal trespass’ case.

The man was not arrested, and was released at another location.
