Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen at Algonquin and Golf in Arlington Heights Closing Mid-January

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen, which has served Cajun cuisine since 1997 at Golf Road and Algonquin Road, has notified about 150 employees that it will be closing about January 20, 2011 — a tentative closing date.

The news hits the Village of Arlington Heights budget with another loss of tax revenue, following the closing of the Sheraton at Euclid Avenue and Rohlwing Road about one year ago; and Boston Blackies on Algonquin Road about two months ago.

Chris and Harris Pappas of Houston, have one Pappadeaux location remaining in the Chicago area at Route 83 and Ogden Avenue near Oak Brook Mall in Westmont (921 Pasquinelli Drive).

The brothers own several Tex-Mex, seafood, steakhouse, Bar-B-Q, Greek, and burger restaurants in Texas.
