ARRESTED: Hit-and-Run Driver Flees on Foot from Crash at Lake Cook Rd and Route 83

Buffalo Grove police responded just before 3:40 AM Tuesday to a hit-and-run crash at Lake Cook Road and Route 83. A Buffalo Grove police sergeant on patrol discovered a crash that just occurred at the intersection of Lake Cook Road and Route 83. He found a female victim injured in the crash and a male/Hispanic fleeing southwest toward the Bank of America building.

The police sergeant called for backup and several officers responded to the scene. The offender was apprehended near Lake Cook Road and Buffalo Grove Road a couple of minutes later — before 3:45 a.m.

The male driver was transported in custody to Buffalo Grove Police Department Headquarters.
