Severely Beaten Child Revived: St. Charles Firefighter/Paramedics at Super 8 Motel

St. Charles police and firefighter/paramedics responded just after 8:10 a.m. Wednesday to the Super 8 Motel in the 1500 block of East Main Street where they found an unconscious non-breathing, unresponsive 2-year-old child. The child had notable bruising around the head, eyes and mouth. Firefighter/paramedics stabilized the victim and transported the child to Delnor Hospital in Geneva. The child was then airlifted to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Thursday afternoon, the child was listed in critical but stable condition.

St. Charles police are investigating. Any citizens with information are aged to call Investigation Commander Jerry Gatlin, 630-443-3739.
