* TEMPERATURES…LOWS WILL BOTTOM OUT IN THE MID AND UPPER 30S
WITH SOME OF THE TYPICALLY VALLEY AND LOW LYING AREAS DROPPING
INTO THE LOWER 30S. TEMPERATURES IN THE CORE OF CHICAGO AS WELL
AS ADJACENT TO LAKE MICHIGAN WILL NOT GET BELOW THE LOWER 40S
AND FROST WILL NOT OCCUR IN THESE AREAS.

* IMPACTS…FROST WILL DAMAGE OR KILL ANY TENDER VEGETATION.

OFFICIAL AIR TEMPERATURES ARE MEASURED AT 2 METERS ABOVE THE
GROUND…SO TEMPERATURES AT THE ACTUAL SURFACE LEVEL WILL LIKELY
BE A FEW TO SEVERAL DEGREES COLDER ALLOWING FROST TO FORM.
