Buffalo Grove police received a report about 5:10 a.m. Tuesday of a stolen auto that ‘just occurred’ in the 200 block of North Milwaukee Avenue at the Speedway. A white Toyota Corolla was reported stolen as the owner went into the station and left the vehicle running with the keys in the ignition.
Police discovered that Lincolnshire police just dropped off two subjects there, and suspected that those subjects matched a witness description of a person standing outside on the phone before the auto was stolen.
Police checked the address in Riverwoods of one of the youths that Lincolnshire police transported and reported they recovered the stolen auto and had at least one suspect in custody.
