Multiple Calls Reporting Possible DUI Lexus Driver, Then a Crash on Milwaukee Avenue

Buffalo Grove police responded about 9:10 p.m. Wednesday to multiple calls for a possible DUI driver that was driving extremely erratically on westbound Lake Cook Road near Milwaukee Avenue. Several Buffalo Grove police units were searching for a white Lexus, when a call for a crash with a taxi was reported about 9:20 p.m. The crash scene was described as spanning about 100 yards — including two vehicles and debris near Milwaukee Avenue and Pekara Drive. Police discovered the white Lexus that matched the description of the erratic driver involved in the crash with the taxi.

At least one person was injured. Buffalo Grove and Lincolnshire-Riverwoods firefighter/paramedics responded to the scene.

Milwaukee Avenue was shut down between Inverarry Lane and Deerfield Parkway.
