‘Darth Vader’ Robs Chase Bank in Long Island with Semiautomatic Handgun


An offender in a Darth Vader customer entered a Chase branch in Setauket at 11:30 a.m. Thursday and demanded money from a teller. The offender “Darth Vader” threatened the teller with a semiautomatic gun.

Suffolk County Police Department responded after a customer battled with the Darth Vader character. The offender was described as possibly a male, between 6’0″ and 6’2″ and wearing camouflage pants. The offender was last seen leaving the area on a bicycle.

The armed robber was given cash from the drawer.
