Burglary in Progress Reported on North Wilke, Actually a Sick Person at Door

Arlington Heights police responded about 8:40 p.m. Monday to a report of burglary in progress in the 1000 block of North Wilke Road. Residents in the home reported that a man was attempting to break in the front door and had already broken a window. The homeowner reported that the offender may have been under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

Arlington Heights firefighter/paramedics were also called to the scene to aid the offender.

The ‘offender’ turned out to be a sick person at the door.
