#ad▼

An Arlington Heights police detective in an unmarked car attempted to stop a motorcycle on Euclid Avenue and Wilke, but was unable to make the traffic stop in Arlington Heights because the cyclist took of going about 80-100 mph westbound on Euclid Avenue. In short time the motorcycle was west of Route 53. The Arlington Heights detective was able to follow the cyclist to an address in Schaumburg at an apartment complex, 917 Buccaneer. The detective did not chase the motorcycle for the approximate 3-mile trip.

A marked unit from Schaumburg Police Department assisted the Arlington Heights police detective at the scene where the cyclist was held in handcuffs. The cyclist was arrested and transported in custody to Arlington Heights police headquarters by an officer in a marked unit. The cyclist’s red and dark blue Aprilia sports bike was towed to a police holding area for traffic arrest.
