UPDATE: SEE THE CARDINAL Robert ‘Bobby’ Axen Wanted for Failing Court Date to Face Aggravated Arson Charge

Norridge police alerted area police departments about 6:20 a.m. Thursday of a suspect who fled an aggravated arson crime and stole a silver Honda Accord from the 4500 block of Oriole, near Ridgewood High School, in Norridge just after 4:00 a.m. Thursday. The suspect started a basement on fire and fled in the Honda.

The suspect was described as a male/white, about 18 years-old, wearing a gray tank top and black shorts. He was armed with a knife.

Police spotted the car in Gilberts, Illiniois about 8:10 a.m. Thursday and arrested him shortly thereafter.

Readers are reminded this is an early report, and that being a suspect is not a confirmation of guilt regarding a crime.
