Solicitor Complaint on Newbury, Offender Says He’s Not a Solicitor — Doing a Church Survey

Arlington Heights police received a report about 7:20 p.m. Monday that a solicitor was aggressive and, wouldn’t take ‘no’ for an answer, and was asking strange questions at a residence in the 500 block of South Newbury Place. The offender was also reported to be peering in the resident’s window.

The resident said the offender was selling Christian books. The offender told police he wasn’t selling anything, but was doing a survey for his church.
