FALSE ALARM: Bomb Threat at Metra-Ogilvie Transportation Center

Chicago police and firefighters responded to the Ogilvie Transportation Center, 500 West Madison, after a woman called police at 1:34 p.m. Friday and said there was a bomb at the train station and that police should “get the dogs over there.”

Metra police shut down operations and used bomb-sniffing dogs to check the station and trains, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Darryl Beaty.

Normalcy resumed at the transportation center by about 2:20 p.m. Friday.
