Arlington Heights police were working on a report of a stolen auto in the 700 block of North Patton about 2:15 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle, a Nissan Altima, was found near Northwest Highway and Chestnut at about 2:25 a.m. Saturday. The owner was apparently too intoxicated to drive the vehicle. An officer from one of these locations brought in a violent male in custody that busted out a squad car window at the jail entrance to Arlington Heights police headquarters. The male was controlled with a taser and Arlington Heights Fire Department firefighter/paramedics were called about 3:05 a.m. No word on charges.
