THU FEB 11 2010 LOS ANGELES — A TMZ camera operator was conducting a video interview of Dennis Hopper’s lawyer in front of a Los Angeles courthouse (Municipal Court Civil Division) at the northeast corner of Olive and 1st Street when a male/unknown blindsided the camera operator and yanked the camera away. The offender is described as about 5’5″ wearing a black hat, tan jacket, plaid collar shirt, jeans and black & white sneakers The offender took off running in a southwesterly direction through a parking lot and then along a sidewalk on Olive Street, but ran into another TMZ cameraman. The offender put the camera down after carrying the camera for about 450 feet, and continued fleeing — changing his heading toward the southeast direction. The pursuit lasted about 38 seconds to travel 150 yards, which figures to 25 seconds for 100 yards. A 100-yard dash in 25 seconds? That’s slooooow!
