Evanston Police, Search & Rescue Teams Find Body at Starved Rock Near Utica

UPDATE: BODY’S IDENTITY RELEASED … Theresa Ann Hunt, 53, was declared dead at Starved Rock State Park at 11:35 a.m. Saturday, according to the Illinois Conservation Police.

The Utica Fire Department called an en extra alarm for search and rescue Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m. Search and Rescue Teams met at the Utica Fire Station at 2945 N. Route 178 in Utica for staging, and began a search of Starved Rock State Park.

Evanston police called for the search acting on information that a missing Evanston woman may be found in Starved Rock State Park.

At about 11:00 a.m. a woman’s body was discovered near Starved Rock Dam. The identity of the body has not been released.

A LaSalle County search and rescue team and a Will County search and rescue team assisted Utica Fire Department. The Illinois Conservation Police are assisting the Evanston Police Department in the investigation.
