Reckless Driver in Excess of 100 mph on Lake Cook, 80 mph in Residential Area Reported

Buffalo Grove police received a report just after 10:15 a.m. of a black Saab SUV with a luggage rack speeding in excess of 100 mph in the area of Lake Cook Road. The vehicle was first reported to be westbound on Lake Cook Road near Weiland. The vehicle was last seen by another driver westbound on Armstrong, west of Weiland. Both Arlington Heights and Buffalo Grove police were alerted to be on the lookout for the reckless driver, who was described as a white/male with glasses and frizzy hair.

Buffalo Grove police committed to a traffic stop with a black Saab SUV with a luggage rack at 10:22 a.m. Sunday at Armstrong and Lilac. No word on an arrest was available.
