José Cuervo Shoplifter at Jewel Caught Blocks Away by Police

Arlington Heights police received a report about 5:50 p.m. Monday that a male/Hispanic walked out of the Jewel/Osco at 1860 South Arlington Heights Road with a bottle of José Cuervo tequila without paying. The offender in the retail theft was described as a male/Hispanic wearing a black leather jacket.

An Arlington Heights police officer found a suspect at Highland and Noyes at about 6:05 p.m. The suspect was identified as the offender at about 6:35 p.m. at Noyes and Highand. Arlington Heights arrested the male offender and transported him to Arlington Heights Police Department headquarters in custody. It’s unknown if the José Cuervo was recovered.
