A total of 1.0 inch of new snow fell from Wednesday 10:30 a.m. through 2:00 a.m. Thursday in Arlington Heights. The fluffy, powdery snow brought the snow cover in Arlington Heights to 7.5 inches (after settling and melting Monday and Tuesday).
