Michelle Fahle, 14, Teen is First Death Related to H1N1 Flu in DuPage County

About two weeks before Michelle Fahle of Naperville died, she hugged another girl who later tested positive for H1N1 Swine Flu virus. Michelle and a third girl became sick with the flu, which included symptoms of a cough, diarrhea and high fever. Michelle Fahle, 14, died with the flu symptoms Thursday, and tested positive for H1N1.

The cause of Fahle’s death is being investigated, and results are expected in about 10 to 14 days.
