#ad▼

The University of Illinois Marching Band — the Marching Illini — will perform at Buffalo Grove High School’s home football game against Prospect High School on Friday, September 25, 2009 at Bison Stadium. The Big Ten marching band is expected to begin its pregame performance at 7:15 p.m. and play throughout the game. The Marching Illini are also entertaining during half-time.

The Marching Illini’s 350 members — directed by Dr. Peter Griffin — will perform legendary songs, traditional music, and new music written for the band.

The event is made possible by families of Buffalo Grove High School students that are hosting University of Illinois band members and Kohl’s Department Store, which is making a significant contribution for the feeding the Marching Illini band members.

The Marching Illini are also performing Saturday at Navy Pier.

Spectators at BGHS will be admitted with the regular cost of a ticket to the game or by presenting a Gate Pass.

Tickets for the Buffalo Grove High School game will be sold in advance beginning Monday, September 21, in the BGHS main office:
$3 for adults
$2 for children or students without a District 214 I.D. Students should bring their school IDs for $2 admission.
