Warren Schor (Cornell University Class of 2011) Dies of H1N1 Complications

Warren Schor, 20, died from complications relating to H1N1 influenza on Friday at Cayuga Medical Center. Warren Schor is the first H1N1 influenza-related fatality in Tompkins County. His hometown s reported to be Clinton Corners in Dutchess County.

Wednesday, Sepetember 10 2009, Cornell University health officials reported that approximately 450 Cornell students had been diagnosed by Gannett Health Services with probable H1N1 influenza. Cornell’s Inter-Fraternity Council placed a seven-day moratorium on fraternity social events in an effort to curb the spread of the flu across campus.

Schor was a student in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and a member of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity — a national Jewish fraternity.
