Alert Arlington Heights Police officers identified burglary suspects mid-week, and then arrested and charged Mario Navidad of the 1400 block of Ports O’ Call, Palatine, Jonathan Cabrero, of the 1300 block of Ports O’ Call with multiple counts of burglary for multiple break-ins at the La Quinta Inn, at 1415 E. Dundee Road, Palatine, and the parking lot of Arlington Lanes at 3435 N. Kennicott Avenue, Arlington Heights.

The pair looked for cars with GPS (navigation systems), smashed a windows and fled with the devices, according to Assistant State’s Attorney Ryan Whitney. Navidad apparently performed the break-ins and stealing while Cabrero functioned as lookout. The pair were arrested in the middle of the week in the general area where the thefts occurred.

The pair also targeted other locations:
Brunswick Bowl at 519 S. Consumer’s Ave., Palatine
An apartment complex at 300 Dundee Road, Buffalo Grove
The Holiday Inn Express at 1550 E. Dundee Road, Palatine

The XSPORT FITNESS, Fox & Hounds and Kohls parking lot in the 900 block of West Dundee Road in Arlington Heights has also been heavily hit by car burglaries in the past several months, but no confirmation from police has been established about a relationship with that lot.

Bond set by Judge Kay Hanlon:
Navidad, $150,000
Cabrero, $125,000
