Lightning and thunder observed in Arlington Heights in snowstorm. Mix of sleet and freezing rain has kept snow depth down, but additional snow is expected as wintry mix changes to all snow after 7 or 8 a.m.

School closures in effect in Arlington Heights. The following schools are
closed: District 214, District 25, District 23, St Viator, St James,
Wayside, St Peters.
