Arlington Heights Police received a report of a suspicious car in the area of Hasbrook Park and in the area of Stonebridge Apartments 700-900 West Rand Road after 1:00 a.m. Monday morning. With temperatures dropping into the teens, Arlington Heights police officers found themselves chasing two offenders who were dropping loot, including a laptop computer, as they ran under the power lines behind Stonebridge Apartments and into neighborhoods north and east of the apartments. One suspect was immediately captured near Chestnut and Waverly and Ridge Avenue. The second suspect was captured about an hour later a good distance east of the crime scene.

Later Monday morning police received a report of a break-in to a church day care facility in the area with severe damage inside the building. Police are investigating a possible connection.
