Arlington Heights Police arrested Kil Sun Fara for operating a house of prostitution at the Singapore Salon 308 East Golf Road in Arlington Heights Thursday late afternoon. The undercover sting and raid resulted in five other arrests with various prostitution charges. An undercover officer was given a basic massage and offered additional services for an additional fee — estimated to be about $25 to $100.

Christian R. Falster, 32, of 314 N. Glenwood Ave. in McHenry, was charged with soliciting for a prostitute.

Charged with prostitution:
Min Soon Rockwood, 46, 1748 Westview Place in Duluth, Ga.
Christina Yu, 41, of 429 E. Seegers Ave. in Arlington Heights,
Se Hi Park, 39, of 2125 S. Tonne Drive in Arlington Heights

Matthew H. Mitchell, 35, of 2252 W. Berwyn Ave. in Chicago, was charged with patronizing a prostitute.

There were previous arrests for prostitution at the Singapore Salon in February 2001 and March 1997. The business has operated officially as a massage salon and a tanning salon. The business is located in the International Plaza where business tenants fought having the shopping center razed in the TIF district. A Super Target store was once planned for the location, but those plans have been scrapped. A recently remodeled XSPORT FITNESS is located just to the east of the Singapore Salon location.
