A semi-trailer truck that was eastbound on Country Lane hit electric power lines, cable lines and telephone lines just after noon on Tuesday. The tension of the lines also snapped a wood pole further north along the utilities right-of-way of Old Arlington Heights Road.
Arlington Heights Police Department blocked Old Arlington Heights Road for about one hour while Arlington Heights Fire Department managed the scene and Commonwealth Edison removed the electric hazard.
