Northwest Suburban Fire Departments Called in to Assist Fighting Harvey Warehouse Fire Region

#ad▼

Fire departments from as far away as Knollwood, Lake Forest and Long
Grove have been called in just after 3:30 p.m. to bring in brush trucks
to help with firefighting of a spreading fire covering blocks of
warehouses in Harvey, Illinois at 156th and Lathrop.

The fire has already brought beyond a 5-alarm box with special alarms
and a Tanker Box Alarm in Harvey since about 10:30 a.m. Thursday
morning.

There are water supply problems with this fire and high winds with gusts
up to 40 mph that are hampering firefighting efforts.
