Big Snow for December One, 2006

#ad▼

Heavy, wet snow is falling at about 1:20 a.m. in the Arlington Heights
area. The snow is blowing in hard from the northeast and has a strong,
fresh snow smell. About one inch is on the ground.

Arlington Heights is right under the snow/sleet line with the rain line down about the Stevenson Expressway latitude. The snow/sleet line over Arlington Heights is wobbly as snow was dumped across Arlington Heights starting around 10:30 p.m. (Nov. 30) and then precipitation changed back to a face-biting sleet. Snow was coming down hard at about Dundee Road while sleet was falling further south at about Euclid Avenue.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect. Check Arlingtoncards.com/weather
and Arlingtoncards.com/snow for more information. Check Arlingtoncards.com/snow for the best Arlington Heights directory of snow storms and snow removal including Chicagoland snow records, recent Chicago snow depth reports and snow cover maps.
