Arlington Heights Fire Department and numerous fire departments near Des Plaines assisted Des Plaines Fire Department with divers for a diver’s box at Peterson Lake (2400 E Devon Ave). A car was reported to have driven into the lake and submerged.
This was later reported to be a parked and unoccupied 2004 Land Rover that rolled into the lake after it was rear-ended by a hit-and-run driver.
