Metra Northwest Line Trains Halted Near Cumberland Train Station from Downed Comed Power Lines, Des Plaines

Des Plaines police and firefighters responded about 6:15 AM Friday to a report of downed power lines near the Cumberland Station 475 East Northwest Highway Des Plaines, IL. Metra trains on the Union Pacific Northwest Line are stopped in both directions near Cumberland Station, 475 East Northwest Highway in Des Plaines.

Power lines are down across the railroad tracks and/or near the railroad tracks. Des Plaines firefighters were investigating the extent of the ComEd damage at about 6:25 a.m. Friday.

ComEd is not expected to start repair until about 7:30 a.m.
