Mount Prospect police alerted area police departments concerning an armed robbery that was reported to have occurred about 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Holiday Inn, 200 East Rand Road in Mount Prospect.
Mount Prospect police received a report 11:25 a.m. Thursday that the offender dropped off a male victim at the Holiday Inn, and took all of the victims belongings that he had with him while displaying a handgun in the waistband of his blue jeans. The offender identified himself as ‘Rocco’. Apparently the subjects met each other last night, but no word was available regarding where they met.
The offender was described as a male/white, 6’0 230 LBS with a short buzzed haircut, mustache and beard. The offender was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
The offender is reported to have fled eastbound on Kensington in an older model white Ford Taurus.
